YOKO'BUE (Japanese Traditional Transverse Flute-NOH-KAN&SHINOBUE) player.

 


Born in Kyoto, Japan.
Graduated from KUNITACHI Music University.
Studied " NOH-HAYASHI" , the music ensemble that accompanies Noh drama, in the Traditional Japanese Music course at Tokyo University of Arts. (formerly called the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music).
From 1996-2005 regularly performed Edo Sato kagura with the WAKAYAMA -SHACHU troupe. EDO-SATO- KAGURA is a form of Ancient Japanese Sacred Music that is performed in a traditional folk style. The Wakayama Troupe is officially registered as a Japanese important and intangible cultural asset.
From 1998-1999 gave concerts and workshops while living in Berlin , Germany.
Recent performances and concert collaborations cover a wide range of repertoire from Japanese classic traditions to modern world music.
